

He is the author of two ebooks, the most recent being "hownot2suck @ businessnbeing" - a handbook for young entrepreneurs - as well as the guide to music licensing "How To License Your Music Into Movies and Television".
He has produced several music videos over the years, including those for his 80's band Picture Comes To Life (BMG), as well as several short films which are available on Youtube @ducktube2000. Additionally, Ron was Associate Producer on the HBO film Xchange (directed by Allan Moyle - Pump Up The Volume).
He has been a guest speaker at countless music and media events, and he is an Advisory Board member of both the New Media Film Festival and the Vancouver Island Music Business Conference.
His voracious interest in digital and mobile media led him to launch Podzapper Inc to produce both programming and applications for the digital space. Developments in this area are forthcoming.
He divides his time between Venice Beach and Toronto.

PERSONAL HISTORY
Ron began Music Supervising in 1994, working for the ensuing two years on numerous (then named) Alliance Communications productions. In 1997, he accepted a position at Greenlight Communications running their film music and publishing interests, before joining affiliated GFT Entertainment as Director Of Music. By October 1997, he created Ron Proulx International, since re-named Arpix Media Inc., as an independent Music Supervision company.

At one time or another, Ron has acted as record producer, synthesist/programmer, publicist and artist manager, including world beat artists Punjabi By Nature and Dublin-based pop act Zrazy.

Ron graduated from Ryerson in the late 70's with a Bachelor of Applied Arts (Radio and Television Arts). During this time he was Music Director of the campus radio station, CKLN. He also worked music retail, as a staff writer for music industry mag RPM Magazine, and as a private music teacher. He also scored several documentaries and industrial films.
Ron plays piano and drums, songwriter guitar, beginner saxophone, and long ago played trombone in highschool.

Ron was born in Quebec, the son of a businessman father who played a mean organ and an artist/art agent mother who loved to throw huge parties. He has two brothers, one a Chartered Accountant, and the other a Photographer.
