Like most of us, I'm very affected by the events of 911. I don't need prompting on how to feel. I get it. I feel sick and sad. I don't need help to get there. I see the footage and i'm done.

I worked on a film a couple of years ago that had a scene of the towers falling. The composer was all proud about how his low drone added to the emotion. I could have killed him. Needless to say we played the scene with silence.

Real life doesn't need music to highlight its importance or depth. Using music to highlight an emotional response to 911 is uncool. So quit it.
